Panu Ala-Nikkola appointed CEO of Martela
The Board of Directors of Martela Corporation has appointed M.Sc. (Econ.) Panu Ala-Nikkola as the company’s new CEO. He will assume his position on 26 May 2026.
Ala-Nikkola is truly returning home to Martela. He has more than 10 years of experience at Martela in several leadership positions, including Managing Director Finland, Sales Director and Deputy CEO of the company. In addition, he brings strong international leadership experience from various industries, including senior management positions at Huhtamäki Oyj in Finland and abroad, as well as serving as Chairman of the Board and Chief Operating Officer at Aina Group Oyj.
“Panu knows Martela, the industry and our customers extremely well. His strategic vision and extensive experience strongly support Martela’s ongoing transformation,” says Tapio Pajuharju, Chairman of the Board of Martela.
The Board of Directors of Martela and Ville Taipale have mutually agreed that Taipale will leave his position as CEO of the company with immediate effect.
Martela would like to thank Ville Taipale for his work as the company’s CEO over the past five years.
