MAIN RAW MATERIALS

Board materials

Board materials that we use in our products are particle board, MDF, plywood and soft fiber board. All wood based boards we use meet class E1 (max 0.12 mg formaldehyde/m3 air or 8 mg of formaldehyde per 100 g of absolutely dry chipboard). We use wood from sustainable cultivated forests and do not use endangered wood species.

Coating materials, surface finishing agents and glues

We use melamine, laminate or veneer as surface material on boards. Veneered surfaces are finished with water soluble stains and 100% UV-lacquers, but catalytic surface finish agent is still used in form-pressed materials. Upholstering materials are chosen from the wide variety of fabrics according to specific customer needs. We use water-based upholstery glue and PVAC glue.

Plastics

Polyamide, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS and polyurethane are used as plastics in our products. To fulfill customer and environmental requirements, our standard products and packaging materials do not include any PVC. Most usual customer requested special materials containing PVC are e.g. water repellent and chemical resistant upholstery materials needed for hospital use.

Upholstery materials, padding

We use wool blend fabrics, pure wool fabrics, PUR and polyether foam as upholstery materials and padding.

Metals

Our products include metals generally used in furniture industry such as steel and aluminum. Epoxy-based paints or electrolytic materials are used as surface finishing material for metals. Epoxy paints melt and reticulate under increased temperatures to form the final coating of paint. Chromium is reduced as chrome on metal component with electrolytic process.
