Martela house is heated with regional heat, of which the invoiced amount was 2009 610 MWh. Also Martela’s Swedish and Polish logistics centers use regional heating. Nummela logistics center is heated with heavy fuel oil with consumption of 360 thousand liters in year 2009. Kidex Oy and P.O.Korhonen Oy use mainly production by product wood chips for heating energy.

Electricity is mainly used for lighting and air conditioning as well as for operation of equipment used in the production facilities. Total electricity consumption Martela headquarters, Nummela logistics center, Kidex and P.O.Korhonen was about 7550 MWh in 2009.
